CHITLANG

LOCATION  : Makwanpur District, Bagmati, Nepal

By Vehicle: Take a bus from Balkhu Kathmandu to Markhu (Daksinkali Road). Get down at Markhu. You will see the Kulekhani reservoir. Walk along the road for 1-2 hour you will reach Chitlang.

Trekking: Go to Thankot by any means like micro from Kalanki. You can see the starting point of trekking route on the side of the road. Get down there by asking anyone/conductor. Start to walk... It might take 7-8 hours to reach Chitlang.

CHITLANG ATTRACTIONS

• Best place for Camping
• Beautiful landscape with excellent & fresh environment
• Famous for Cheese factory and goat farming
• Old and ancient houses with typical Nepali culture
• You can do cycling, bird watching (more than 600 species) , jungle walk etc.
• You can go to Mansarobar Tal for refreshment which is 1-2 hour from Chitlang on walking

By Vehicle: Take a bus from Kathmandu to Banepa. Get down at Banepa and take a bus to Namobuddha/Dapcha from the Banepa Bus Park (Bus leaves from Banepa every 1-2 hours). Get down at Namobuddha.

Trekking: Take a Bus from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. Then, you can find a trekking route from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha. It takes 3-5 hours as per your walking speed to reach Namobuddha.

LOCATION  : Kathmandu (15 KM from Balkhu, Dakshin Kali Marga )

Take a bus from Koteshowr (Chakrapath Parikrama) - Get down at Balkhu- Take another bus from Balkhu to Dakshinkali- Get down at "Bhanjyang" - Walk down for about half an hour (You will reach this reservoir) - Follow down the pen-stock pipe to reach the power house station !!!

(Follow the same route if you have private vehicles, it can reach up-to reservoir and power house station )
